Change does not announce itself. It gathers quietly – in policy rewrites, in community action, in the everyday work of making systems fairer. But once a year, we make space to name it, challenge it, and push it further.
On Friday 12 September, the Digital Poverty Alliance (DPA) hosts its annual Gala Reception to mark End Digital Poverty Day 2025 – a national gathering for those shaping the future of digital inclusion in the UK.
Set at Bankside Gallery, the event offers a moment to step outside the day-to-day and reconnect with purpose. It is not about celebration for its own sake. It is about recognising what is working – and what must still change.
This year’s Gala marks the inaugural Digital Inclusion Awards Reception – a new national platform to recognise practical, measurable progress. Open to all signatories of our Charter for Digital Inclusion, the Awards highlight those translating intent into action.
From grassroots delivery to government strategy, efforts to end digital poverty are growing – but unevenly. This event is a space for candour, coordination, and ambition.
“The Gala is a chance to celebrate progress,” said Elizabeth Anderson, CEO of the Digital Poverty Alliance. “It is where we connect the work happening on the ground with the goal of ending digital poverty once and for all – and where those committed to real change come together to accelerate it.”
“The Gala is where people come not just to recognise current work, but to connect with others who are serious about making it happen. It is where partnerships are formed, ideas take shape, and the next phase of action begins.”
The 2025 Gala Reception is sponsored by Currys plc, whose continued partnership supports the DPA’s mission to drive change – from lived experience to national policy.
Secure your ticket now. This is not another event on the calendar. It is a chance to be in the room where priorities are challenged, partnerships are formed, and the agenda for digital inclusion is pushed forward – with clarity, urgency, and purpose.
