How do I log in to my school portal?

The Digital Poverty Alliance (DPA) has provided an email containing your school’s new login details for Beacon. This email includes a link granting access to your school portal. Please ensure this link is saved for future use.

Can I use the old link to access information?

No, the old platform, ENABLE, is no longer active. School administrators should update their bookmarks, saved links, and any communications that reference Enable. Access is now exclusively through your school’s Beacon link, which was sent in January 2025.

How do I get help or support?

For assistance, the process remains unchanged. To ensure a swift response, submit your query via the Digital Poverty Alliance School Support Request Form.

Can schools create their own programmes now?

Yes, the programme creation process remains unchanged. To request a new programme, please complete the School Support Request Form with the relevant details.

When will the Parent Portal be live?

The Parent Portal is scheduled to go live the second week of January 2025.

How can I assist parents in getting online?

Parents who require assistance can complete the Digital Poverty Alliance Parent Support Request Form. Schools are encouraged to help parents with the form if needed. Once submitted, the DPA will address their queries directly.

Parents will access Beacon using a passwordless login system. After entering their email address, they will receive a login email and gain immediate access to their portal by clicking the provided link.

What can parents see in their portal?

Parents can view updates related to their Direct Debit donations, including:

  • Their name and address
  • Bank details
  • Remaining balance on their donation

This self-service functionality reduces the administrative workload on schools by addressing many common parent queries.

Why has the DPA transitioned to Beacon?

The Digital Poverty Alliance has introduced Beacon as an enhanced platform for managing donations. This updated system streamlines donation management and supports schools in providing essential devices for pupils.

As part of the transition, data has been securely migrated from ENABLE to Beacon, with no disruption to Direct Debits. The DPA plans to use Beacon indefinitely, ensuring stability and continuity beyond early 2025.

What is new with Beacon?

Beacon introduces several improvements, including:

  • Direct parent access to their donation information and profile.
  • Enhanced transparency for parents, enabling them to manage their details and view updates independently.
