All Digital Weeks 2025

Adweeks news story

The Digital Poverty Alliance (DPA) has been selected as a National Coordinator for All Digital Weeks 2025, Europe’s leading digital inclusion and empowerment campaign. Running from 17 March to 4 April 2025, this annual initiative unites organisations, educators, and communities to promote digital skills, ensuring that no one is left behind in an increasingly digital world.

Despite being a global leader in digital innovation, the UK faces significant digital inequalities. Recent research highlights that 7.5 million adults – 18% of the UK’s population – lack essential digital skills for the workplace. The ongoing cost-of-living crisis has exacerbated this issue, with more than five million households struggling to afford communication services. These figures represent lost opportunities, particularly impacting marginalised communities and deepening economic disparities.

A Collective Effort for a More Inclusive Future

The DPA joins 22 other National Coordinators across Europe in mobilising grassroots organisations, businesses, and policymakers to ensure broad participation. This year’s theme, “Educated Digital Citizens,” underscores the importance of equipping individuals with the confidence and competencies needed to responsibly and effectively navigate today’s digital landscape.

Aligned with the European Year of Digital Citizenship Education 2025, the campaign reinforces the necessity of digital literacy for employment, online safety, and full participation in modern society.

Elizabeth Anderson, CEO of the Digital Poverty Alliance, said: “Digital inclusion is not just a necessity; it is a fundamental right. Too many people are excluded from opportunities simply because they lack the skills or access to navigate today’s increasingly digital world. As a National Coordinator for All Digital Weeks 2025, the DPA is focused on turning awareness into action. This campaign is about more than highlighting the problem; it is about equipping individuals, mobilising communities, and driving real change. We urge organisations, educators, and policymakers to take part and ensure that no one is left behind in the digital age.”

David Mekkaoui, CEO of All Digital, added: “We are thrilled to see such strong engagement from our network for All Digital Weeks 2025. In a rapidly evolving digital world, equipping citizens with the right skills is essential for inclusion, participation, and opportunities. This campaign highlights our collective commitment to building a digitally inclusive Europe and addressing the alarming fact that 44% of Europeans still lack basic digital skills.”

Take Action with the Digital Poverty Alliance

As a National Coordinator, the DPA leverages extensive experience leading impactful delivery projects, such as Tech4Families in partnership with Currys, and the Tech4Youth and Tech4YoungCarers initiatives.

These projects have effectively addressed digital exclusion by providing essential devices, connectivity, and tailored skills training to communities in need.

Join us on 2 April for an insightful, solutions-focused webinar designed to showcase effective strategies for partnering with industry leaders and community stakeholders to successfully implement impactful delivery projects. Attendees will gain practical knowledge, hear compelling success stories, and explore proven methods to achieve sustainable digital inclusion outcomes. Further details will be announced soon.
