Across the UK, millions remain disconnected – not by choice, but by circumstance. As digital services become the default, the cost of exclusion grows more acute, affecting education, employment, and everyday life. Responding to this reality requires more than isolated efforts. It calls for alignment, collaboration, and sustained action across sectors.
As a National Coordinator for All Digital Weeks 2025, the Digital Poverty Alliance (DPA) invites you to a conversation on how strategic partnerships between industry and the charity sector can drive meaningful progress on digital inclusion.
On Wednesday, 2 April, from 1-2pm, Elizabeth Anderson, CEO of the DPA, and Catrin Hale, Group Social Impact Manager at Currys, will discuss the evolution of Tech4Families – a joint initiative launched in 2022 that has provided digital access and support to over 2,200 families across the UK. They will examine what has made the partnership effective, and how shared ambition between sectors can lead to practical, scalable approaches to digital inclusion.
This session will reflect on:
- How digital exclusion continues to limit access to opportunity – and why it demands coordinated, long-term responses.
- What Tech4Families has demonstrated about the potential of partnership-led delivery.
- The respective roles of business and charity – and how combining these strengths has supported real-world impact.
- Lessons learned in practice – from programme design to delivery and beyond.
- What it will take to scale effective responses and ensure they are built to last.
Open to all, the discussion will provide grounded insight for anyone involved in or considering cross-sector approaches to digital inclusion.
